V. THE FUTURE

5. Following a mini sector study it conducted in Zambia, the corporation has decided to:
  • Support the institutionalization of the practice of regularly comparing the number of children needing homes with the number of places available;
  • Support efforts aimed at ensuring that those children who really want a home have one. This is largely a question of matching demand with supply; and
  • Continue our current practice of assisting the homes and institutions to perform as they should, and live up to their promises.
